The Chinese "BaZi" (Eight Characters), also known as the Four Pillars of Destiny, is a traditional fortune-telling system based on a person’s birth time—year, month, day, and hour. Each pillar has two characters (Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch), making eight in total. It uses these to analyze one's personality, fate, and life trends through the lens of Yin-Yang and the Five Elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water).
